Email - Using the Schedule Sending Button for Later Delivery

You came to this Email & Texting Communications screen when you clicked the [Email & Texting] icon on the Home screen.

Before proceeding, please be sure you have previously clicked the [Help ?] button that leads to the narrative on "Overview and Basics: Using the Email & Texting Function". Being familiar with the general information about the Email & Texting Communications screen may be helpful to you.

The following information relates specifically to the "Schedule Sending" feature and how to schedule a message for delivery at a later time.

Using the "Schedule Sending" Button for Later Delivery:

When you have finished building your email or texting message, complete with your target distribution list, attachments, etc., you can "Send Immediately" or you can "Schedule Sending" and the system will send the message for you later.

If you choose to "schedule" the message for later delivery, it will be sent out on a specific date and time.

For example, you could build a distribution list and message on Monday but schedule the system to send it out on Friday morning at 10:00 AM. When Friday arrives, the system will deliver the message to all the recipients at the appointed time.

To do this, click the [Schedule Sending] button at the bottom of the screen and use the handy utility when it appears.

You will see an entry box labeled, "Click in this field to activate the date select widget:" Click your cursor into that box and a "Select a Date and Time" widget window will appear. Use the widget to select a year, then month, then day, and lastly, a delivery time. You will see your choices being added to the entry box.

When you are satisfied with your selections, at the top right corner of the "Select a Date and Time" widget window is a little red "X". Click the "X" to close the widget window.

You now have two choices.

1. If you have changed your mind about using the scheduling feature, you can click the [Cancel Scheduling] button and abort the process.

2. If you want to proceed, click the [Send Later] button and the message will be scheduled for sending later.

** Note: Once a message has been scheduled in this manner, you also have the capability of going back into it and changing it or canceling it prior to the scheduled delivery date and time.
