CAA Product Help



(HELP ?) circles provide narratives on Training, Explanations, and Hints. These can be related to the overall screen, or to specific items on the screen.



This (NAVIGATION HELP ?) circle narrative explains the general screen layout used in the CAA MemberLink and other CAA products for nearly all the screens.



Screen Sections or Layouts:



CAA product screens are comprised of five sections:



- "Product Bar"

(wide horizontal bar across the top of the MemberLink screen)



- "Operations Bar"

(narrow horizontal bar immediately under the "Product Bar")



- "Information Bar"

(narrow horizontal bar immediately under the "Operations Bar")



- "Navigation Panel"

(vertical column area under the "Information Bar" on left side of screen)



- "Display Panel"

(remainder of the screen, under the "Information Bar" and to the right of the "Navigation Panel", and typically shows information in a ROW/COLUMN Form or a DATA Form)



Initial Display on Screens:



When you initially login to a CAA MemberLink Administrator module, the default ROW/COLUMN Form shown in the "Display Panel" will be for the first Tab on the "Operation Bar" .



The "Information Bar" above the "Display Panel" will show information identifying or related to the first Tab.



Scroll Bars on Screens:



If the quantity of information exceeds what will fit within the "Navigation Panel" or the "Display Panel" sections of the screen, scroll bars will appear.



- If there is a vertical scroll bar, you may scroll up and down the screen within that Panel.



- If there is a horizontal scroll bar, you may scroll from side to side within that Panel.



- Use the scroll bars to be sure you see all the information in the "Navigation Panel" or the "Display Panel" .



Now here is a more detailed description of each screen section.



Section 1 - Product Bar:



This section across the top of the screen shows the CAA Products. Your church may use one, several, or all of these.



Sometimes not all CAA Products will appear in the "Product Bar" . That is because the Permission Level of the person logged in will dictate which of the CAA Products they may access.



For example, if a person has no access to the donations module, the ContributionLink product icon may not appear on the "Product Bar" when that person is logged in.



The CAA Products are represented by unique icons, and are as follows:



- MemberLink (contact mgmt "" members, guests, prospects, others)



- ContributionLink (integrated into MemberLink)



- InventoryLink (integrated into MemberLink)



- CheckinLink (separate product but requires MemberLink)



- OutreachLink (with MemberLink or can be standalone)



- SchedulerLink (with MemberLink or can be standalone)



- MobileLink (iPad, iPhone, tablet, & smartphone Progressive Web App customized for your church)



Section 2 - Operations Bar:



This section is immediately under the "Product Bar" . It shows the major operations available within the selected CAA Product. Each operation is represented by a Tab on the "Operations Bar" .



Also, the Permission Level of the login person will dictate which of the "Operations Bar" tabs can be seen and accessed. Not all people will see all the Tabs.



Again, each Operation is represented by a Tab. Using the MemberLink Administrator Module as an example, the full complement of Operation Tabs would be as follows:



- Contacts: working with your individual contacts (people)



- Groups: working with your groups (including Family Groups)



- Email/Texting: communicating with contacts and groups



- Bulletin Board: displayed to those logging into the Member Portal



- Surveys: for contacts and groups, with tally reports



- Attendance: individual or summary level for groups tracking attendance



- Custom Fields: unique data fields created just for your church database



- Upload Files: to a cloud area, members can download to read or print



- Options: for configuration, setup, control of system, and some reports



- Support Ticket: for asking questions and reporting issues to CAA



- Logout: leave MemberLink and return to the Login Screen



The above describes the Tabs for MemberLink. Each of the CAA Products have Tabs of their own on the "Operations Bar" . These will be different than the ones you see with the MemberLink Product.



Section 3 - Information Bar:



This section is immediately under the "Operations Bar" .



The "Information Bar" shows the following:



- Shows a "Navigations" label on the left, just above the "Navigation Panel"



- Shows which "Display Panel" is active



- Shows who is logged into the Product being used



- Shows (HELP ?) circles that provide training, explanations, etc.



Section 3 - Navigation Panel:



This section is immediately under the "Information Bar" and is located on the left side of the screen. It shows the Navigation choices available within the selected Operation (or active Tab).



Also, the Permission Level of the login person may dictate which of the Navigation Links can be seen and accessed.



The "Navigation Panel" will typically include the following:



- Your church name at the top



- The Navigation Links for use with the active "Operations Bar" tab and the related "Display Panel"



- Links pertaining just to your church, like your website for example



- The optional Filters used only with the related "Display Panel"



- The "CAA Copyright Notice" at the bottom



Section 4 - Display Panel:



This section of the screen will show either a ROW/COLUMN Form or a DATA Form. It is located immediately under the "Information Bar" , and just to the right of the "Navigation Panel" .



This section of the screen will be related to the active "Operations Bar" tab.
