Prayer Wall - Mark Your Message as URGENT

CAA Product Help

(HELP ?) Circles provide narratives on Training, Explanations, and Hints. These can be related to the overall screen, or to specific items on the screen.

This (HELP ?) Circle narrative is for the "ADD POST" Screen or the Display Panel in MemberLink for the "PRAYER WALL" Tab.

Before you click the [FINALIZE AND POST] Button, you can instruct the system to put "URGENT" in the message Subject line. There is a Checkbox for this purpose, labeled "(Optional) Mark your email notification as URGENT".

If you do this, by clicking on the associated Checkbox to turn it "ON", the email "alert message" will be marked as "URGENT" when the system sends it.

Checking the "(Optional) Mark your email notification as URGENT" Checkbox does one additional thing. It tells the system to also send the "alert message" to all the people or groups via a "texting" message. If they are set up in the system to receive text messages from your church, they will receive both an email alert and a text message alert. Of course, people marked on their "PROFILE" Screen as being in "Pending" or "Banned" status (by your system Administrators) do not receive any of these messages.

** Note: Text messages are limited to 140 characters or 280 characters, depending upon the setting in your Configuration file. The effective length is actually less, because you have to allow for control and routing characters. The effective length would be approximately 120 or 250 characters. If your email message is longer, the end of the message could be truncated before it is texted to the recipients.

** Note: If you want to know who will receive the "alert message" via email, use the "TEST WHO WILL RECEIVE EMAIL" Box on the right side of the screen. Receiving the email message will "alert" them to your post so that they can respond (if they want to) in a timely manner. But remember to do this test BEFORE you enter the Title and Message Text because this test will blank them out afterwards.
